Luke Zavala is a multi-instrumentalist hailing from Woodland, residing in San Francisco and currently splitting his time between the two. He has over 15 years experience performing music on stages across the west coast and beyond. After graduating from SFSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, he began his career as a studio and session musician around the Bay Area. He has toured across the country with groups incorporating jazz, blues, funk, soul and rock and has performed at music festivals such as Outside Lands, High Sierra and Bottlerock. Well versed in improvisation and music theory fundamentals, he has given private trombone instruction in San Francisco and is excited to bring his knowledge and love of music to students in his hometown. He is available for virtual or in-person lessons and happy to take on students of any age or skill level, including jazz improvisation instruction on any instrument.
