For over 30 years, Melissa Baikie-Rick has been using her talents on stage as a vocalist, actor, writer, comedian and instrumentalist. She is a firm believer in the importance of music education, having volunteered countless hours in Colusa County schools and the Williams Community Center.
Currently, Melissa is the owner of Light in the Sky Music and is blessed to be teamed up with 88 Keys Academy as the beginning woodwinds/brass band teacher at Woodland Christian Elementary School. Melissa is also the coordinator for the Yolo Regional Homeschool Symphonic Band and Choir education program, and a private performance arts teacher to students in Northern California.
Melissa is very happily married to her exceptionally talented and handsome husband, Aaron Baikie-Rick. They have a remarkable son, Logan, and live in rural Colusa County near Melissa’s beautiful and clever mother, Sharon. Most of their free time is spent in Woodland as the entire family is active in one capacity or another at the Woodland Opera House.
